I was painting a Warhammer 40K space marine the other day - ostensibly one of the good guys - but as I was adding the detail to the sixth skull on his armour I realised they can't really be all that good

They're capricious, fanatical, genetically engineered Super Soldier Knights Templar whose basic sidearm fires self-propelled explosive shells. It's uber-geeky but I'm mostly enjoying the painting. And the skulls. Always lots of skulls.

It does sound quite interesting, what with the crafting and such. Most things like that don't offer much room in terms of customization.
