^This.For all that my old workmates complained about Katoomba, it really is one of the nicest places I've been to. Excellent hat shop, lovely 1920s shop fronts and the way it can hide so many tourists and still seem charming is wonderful. Even in June in the fog, with me dying of a chest infection.
