fix a cam chain?surely, if you cam chain needs fixing, the top of your engine needs fixing too and it should be warranty

The car's just out of warranty.Despite being regularly serviced by them they say it's not their problem. I disagree. The cam chain tensioner fucked itself then the chain went. Christ knows what else is wrong with the bloody thing. What scares me is that this is just a preliminary quote so they'll probably whack more on top when the job's done.
