you can change the delay on a frame by frame basis
but really if you are using flash 'speed' is down to the animation itself

Yeah. When I preview it, it's really fast, but as soon as I've saved it and brought it over here, it's much slower.
I imagine a more optimized or smaller GIF would be faster. I'll have to have a play around with it later.

ah well, there is a "bug" or artefact of gif that causes a bit confuserisation
a gif with a frame delay of 0 seconds will play slower than a gif with a frame delay of 0.3 or 0.4 seconds in firefox and chrome

on one of my phones a delay of 0 runs at full speed though
so it's not a consistent thing that can be relied upon it seems
