Yeah...I do know there's some brilliant artists out there who started much later than 20, so I guess all is not lost.
I'll have to ask people in the know, see if they can give me any advice on where to start; I'm thinking of doing something similar to French house/electro, so at least I've got some idea of what I want to do.
