One of the joke articles in the latest Private Eye was three short piecesThe first one "Our failure to get past the quarter finals in Euro '12 reminds us we shouldn't get too optimistic about sporting events". Second one, "Wimbledon final shows us once again that in sport Britain will always be the bridesmaid, never the bride". Third one: "British athletes sure to bag the medals at Olympics!!"
