I bought my brother the DVD of Maximum Overdrive just to prove how bad it was. He managed 15 minutes before switching it off and I believe it is now in a charity shop somewhere.

Someone else might watch it now. It was so bad that I thought it was a crap comedy when I first watched it.
Cars makes much more sense and is a tad darker when you think of it as just a sequel to Maximum Overdrive.
