# fwiw, it's a roaring debate in my industry.
after years of getting a kicking left right and centre, some people are coming round to the thought that replacing all of the plastic packaging out there with degradable alternatives actually releases more carbon into the atmosphere.

a PET bottle / bag / tray holds the carbon in place for centuries, or longer depending on how its stored, while paper based packaging or poly lactic acid plastics release carbon back into the atmosphere within a matter of weeks...

me, i mostly work in fibre based sheet materials, but i'm sitting on the fence. our clients have been loving 'compostable' packaging recently, and the public gets what the public wants...

# Two questions
1. What is the fence you are sitting on made of.

and

2. What's the best way to pack fudge?

# would you believe....
i've been packing fudge all this week. for a small craft fudge producer in leeds - supplies into harvey nicks and other types of posh shops. sells for £5 or so for one measly bit.

she flow wraps her individual fudge bars, and is now using some small kraft paper lined cartonboard packs, with hand tied varietal labels we designed for her.

as you can tell, it's been hilarious.

the fence was a metaphor. in my home life, i had to recently dismantle the fence i had around my chicken coup. too much blood splatter from where the foxes got them (it was strip pine and welded wire mesh)

# This is all good
The fence should not be metaphorical though.
