It's hard to get into this topic without finding yourself boxed more and more into an extreme position.It's definitely off my list for 'appropriate discussion topics when beer is involved' after a particular incident where a mate and I almost came to blows having found ourselves getting more and more polarised as what started out as a pretty amiable and abstract discussion went on.
