I suppose they get around describing the dowsers as cackby referring to them as 'novelty' items... a bit like those condom machines in pub toilets that say you shouldn't use them as a contraceptive, they're just 'fun'.
Agreed, the entire case seems to be a bit of a paradox. Made for £15, sold for £10,000... I'd like to see him on Dragon's Den :)
