Polystyrene cement could be bought in the paper shop by kids. In hindsight that seems mental.

I started using cyanoacrylates, but that was as an adult, and I lost interest in building them. I wonder if it lasts any longer.

Polystyrene cement is an adhesive, so it can perish. I can remember picking bits off.

My missus bought me a remake of the classic AMT USS Enterprise kit a few years ago, still haven't made that. Hope I make a better hash of it that the one I had as a kid.
