my guess iseither he heard someone and panicked, or he was waiting to see if anyone said anything about the card before taking the money, thus hiding it under the dresser. he owes on all kinds of payday loans that he and his girlfriend get every weekend for booze and drugs. fortunately, my bank account is bone dry and i've got no overdraft, so he can't get anything out, even if he did know my pin number. once he realises this, i expect my card to just turn up somewhere convenient, like down the back of the couch.
