actually in about 1995 i swore to myself that i would never vote tory until everyone on that front bench, with the possible exception of kenneth clarke, had nothing more to do with frontline tory politics. i still basically hold to that even though i disagree with quite a few things he's said: i won't vote tory until anyone who's had anything to do with this government has gone, with the possible exception of kenneth clarke.
