Fixed, but fuck if I know what the trouble was.
I removed all cookies, and it's working now.

Maybe you need to give the cookies to (IshiatamaMoggy a
to exorcise your browser.

I thought you were joking
You might try www.safer-networking.org/private/ spybot search and destroy, but be careful if you want to keep your browser history. Get the free version and it'll purge whatever was hijacking your browser. Also update it and do the inoculation (at least twice) so it stops it from happening again.

If that doesn't get rid of all the things causing issues
gaz me and I'll send a fool proof plan for any viruses you might have. But I'd be prepared to bet that the inoculation will stop it from returning. Turn of the live scan thing (used to be called tea timer) if it makes your computer too slow to use. Turn it on again if your computer becomes too slow to use, update and run a scan.

Thanks for the advice :)
Pretty sure it wasn't a highjack, the first page results I'm getting now are the same as before I cleared all cookies, and they seem legit.
The subsequent pages are all different.
I'm pretty sure it was a cookie issue. I'm running a couple of work-arounds to bypass some of the google stuff that annoys me (search suggestions, the new image search interface, etc.). Every now and again one of them causes problems.
