Stella Artois (Formerly 5.2% ABV) is a Belgian lager traditionally associated in Britain with football hooligans. Beloved due to the fact that while 7 to 8 pints would equal a good night out, at a random (And I DO mean random) pint AFTER the eighth, the Loopy Juice would kick in BIG TIME.
In the UK The company has consistently tried to go "up-market" with a series of adverts proclaiming it to be "Reassuringly expensive". Not in Supermarkets it wasn't. :D
BTW I like to think that those adverts have led to a LOT of city wankers getting a good kicking over the years when after getting Stella'd up enough to mistake themselves as squaddies they've found themselves in the WRONG pub at the WRONG time.
