I got punctures front and back on a ride out last December because some twat had trimmed all the spikey bushes next to a canal towpath and left all the bits on the ground.My cunning trick of always carrying a spare inner tube wasn't so helpful in that case, as my puncture repair kit adhesive had dried up, I was miles from the nearest place that might sell something suitable to use, and it was late afternoon and going dark, so they would be shut by the time I reached them anyway...
