Pato, out of his head on MASSIVE 'ERB' and distraught over his girlfriend's death, commits suicide by ramming his head into his TV screen.

Coming back from an all weekend bender, in his addled state he thinks Liza will be waiting for him. On opening the front door and seeing the half empty flat with things scattered wherever he threw them in his grief, the loss hits him hard for a second time.
A short while later, Pato hallucinates that their unplugged television set is showing his late girlfriend, waiting there in heaven for him. He expresses his wish that they be together for eternity.
It is significant that all the scenes including Liza are displayed in black and white - this represents the afterlife. Once reminded of the loss Pato dons a checkered cap and changes into a grey suit. By putting on his black and white clothes he has made up his mind to end it all.
The start of the video show the gates of heaven. 'On air' refers to the christian idea that heaven is located in the sky, or has an ethereal quality. Ali Campbell represents a God figure and the audience members are souls that have passed to the afterlife.
Pato's erratic behaviour continues after death, where he presumes to mount the stage and perform almost as God's equal, rather than take his place among the audience. God seems amused by this.
