We don't need one.The Speaker of the Commons is already the highest political authority. Alternatively we can look to Ireland for a good example of a completely powerless figurehead president. Their president literally cannot even speak in public without prior written permission.

They kept our parliamentary system, more or less.I think the old Irish monarchical system was quite different to ours. Not quite as hereditary. Nipple-play.
