People would still ask for helpeven if the faq was linked to in 30px red blinking marquees at the top and bottom of every page on b3ta. Some newbies lurk til they find out how stuff is done, and some jump straight in and ask for help as they go along.
It wouldn't make much difference if we changed stuff in my opinion.
