.I find that whenever someone asks me for a musical recommendation, I invariably point them at either Captain Beefheart or Yoko Ono, and then they don't bother to ask me again.

Gads, no.Au contraire, mon frere - I dig Yoko (my favorite work of hers is Fly). I also recognize the fact that most people won't.
