no, mplayer now supports quicktime (has done for a couple of months though)it's a right bastard to get working though at times.

also. i've got about 140+ codecs installed.
and quicktime, and mediaplayer 9.

well, i think i've got them both installed,it's just a matter of me not having tried anything other than double clicking on the files in kde.
