Threadjack!
Last week I quit my job and I've been looking for other things to do. Instead of being responsible and looking for a new one I've decided to stick all my junk in storage and go on a round the world trip to Bangkok, Bali, Sydney, Fiji, Hawaii, Los Angeles, New York and then home. It will take about 10 months.
I have yet to find anyone thinks it is a bad idea... so what do you think?

Thanks!
I hope to leave in the second week of October. And I have most of the money I need, certainly enough to last me to the end of the year... then I'm going to make money by juggling a bit.

don't forget visas
the US can be entered for 3 months without getting one in advance, but other places may need one beforehand.

Edinburgh is the best
of the bunch. It's a lovely, lovely city (I'm biased I live there). Glasgow would be a good second choice but the city's horrible (though better night life than Edinburgh)

I know
edinburgh is the second best city I've ever seen. First is granada. Such a lovely lighting. But I'm afraid it's also very expensive to live there for a year. Say, do you have a free room in your house?

Hahahahahahah!
My flat is tiny! Seriously though, there's a lot of decent rooms to rent in Edinburgh. It's not *too* expensive if you have friendly local b3tans (of which there are many in Edinburgh) telling you where to rent rooms, etc. :-)
