I've had Photoshop 7 for over a year nowand it all straight forward to me, but as you say it what you're used to. I personally love the Pen Tool for creating a Path and then applying selection to the finished path which then allows me to apply a layer mask for a really professional looking selection.
/edit: The Transform Tool has always been under the Edit menu so I suppose if you have had previous versions of Photoshop then it's easy to find CTRL + T is the shortcut and you can change the Transform to a Perspective Transform my pressing and holding Shift + Alt + Ctrl whilst dragging an anchor point with the mouse.
