# Couple of ghost-related things
I have a few stories...
Once when I was very young (no more than three) I woke up from a nap, crying, and my mom asked me what was wrong. I said I was sad because it was my birthday and nobody remembered. Then I described a farmhouse with a fair amount of detail, and eventually I stopped crying and went back to bed. My dad came home after I was asleep and my mom told him about what I said. He nearly crapped himself because that day was my grandfather's birthday (who died before my dad met my mom, and also had the same name as me) and the farmhouse I described was exactly like the one he grew up in, about 800 miles west of here, which my mother had never seen. So the running theory is that I'm my grandfather, reincarnated.

Another story is about the house my family moved to some ten years later. It's an old house (from the mid 1800s or so) and after a few months, my mom started seeing ghosts - nobody else saw them, but there were a few children who played in the dirt road we lived on. My parents (who didn't tell my sisters and me about this until later) knew some interesting people who had some some meditating, talking with ghosts, sweat lodges, etc. and they came over to see if they could talk to the ghost children. Everyone managed to have a conversation with the children - basically they had been killed in a wagon accident in the late 1800s but didn't know that they had died, so they continued to live there. Once they were told that they had been killed by the wagon, they understood and left, and my mom hasn't seen them since.

The third story, which add some credibility to the second, involves one of my sisters. The woman who had orchestrated the meeting in the previous story had some interesting things to say about my sister - in some alternate reality, she is a warrior and was fending off some sort of nastiness. This had been happening while she was sleeping. One night my sister woke up screaming, and told my mom about some sort of fight she had with a monster (my mom hadn't told her about this alternate-universe-warrior thing) and was very distraught about the whole experience. That morning my mom got a phone call from the woman, and right off the bat this woman described the fight my sister had just fought in her dream.
