I'm considering going and cooking a pizza

All I have to eat is ramen noodles, pizza and pies

the pies were $0.52 a piece and the pizzas were 2 for $3.50.

# I've seen em do that...
on telly they are falling fast as fuck and then they pull the cord and they, like, float up and hover for along time.*

*100% fact
(, Mon 3 Nov 2003, 0:15, archived)
# no I think
you confuse hover with fall slowly
(, Mon 3 Nov 2003, 0:17, archived)
# so a hovercraft
is falling slowly?

you are pulling my leg now, I can tell!
(, Mon 3 Nov 2003, 0:19, archived)
# no
a hover craft isn't technically hovering but floating

the sky divers just appear to hover
(, Mon 3 Nov 2003, 0:21, archived)
# So,
skydivers 'just appear' and then hover in skirts?
or
do hovercrafts float while hovering in a downward direction?
(, Mon 3 Nov 2003, 0:22, archived)
# argh
*bangs head on desk*

this isn't even my argument

/walks away

# jumping
leaving the ground for only short periods of time. Maybe hovercraft jump
(, Mon 3 Nov 2003, 0:23, archived)
# I think you
have it!

wildheart was confusing me with skirted floating skydivers.

so, to round up,

hovercrafts jump up and down very fast and only 'look' like they are hovering! brilliant and yet another classic British invention!

"The hovercraft was invented by Christopher Cockerell in 1956. The theory behind one of the most successful inventions of the 20th century, the Hovercraft, was originally tested in 1955 using an empty KiteKat cat food tin inside a coffee tin, an industrial air blower and a pair of kitchen scales"

The name Cockerell or the hovering kitekat cans?
