# What are the
differences between a Sunderland and a Newcastle accent?
(, Fri 14 Nov 2003, 15:33, archived)
# Newcastle is a bit harsher
and they pronounce some words differently.
And generally Sunderland is just a bit silly.

# A sunderlander
will pronounce words like "book" as "booook" instead of "buck", like a Geordie.

That's the only difference I can tell.

# and maccums use baby words
and twitch and belm as they wave their 6 fingered hands towards anything sparkly.
