they're an odd one...they have fur, obviously, which is mammallian, but then they have beaks, cloaclas (sp?) (which are those bums wot birds and reptiles have, innit), lay eggs and I think they then have a funny heat regulatory system on top. When it boils down to it they're just wierd...
