I used to tutor an engineering classof about thirty people which because of the sensible alphabetic class-splitting contained six wongs and three tans. And two of the wongs were twins. Still ... made learning their names easier.

And there's the old chinese laundry jokewhich was on a range of T-shirts by some American company what got banned:
