# To answer your question earlier
Before people carriers existed, people used to break the law by fitting too many bodies into small cars. Not that I'm defending empty people carriers, but sometimes you do need the space. Believe me, fitting 7 people in an Astra is no joke!

# Just use two cars when needed.
I really can see that there is much need for them.

# That's great
...if you have 2 people who can drive, or can afford two cars when it may only be slightly more expensive to but the people carrier 0- even if it offends the sensibilities of some people with a limited world view. It's really very narrow-minded to assume that there are no large families/small clubs/whatever out there who can't make proper use of people carriers. Although I'm sure we're all agreed that if they're used by families with 1 kid or something then that's a bit stupid.

# Then that fair enough, if they are needed.
But lets face it most of the time they are not. My sister in-law had one, she only has 3 children, most of the time she ended up giving lifts to other people. So she sold it and those other people have found a way to get around, WOW.
