I lived in Edinburgh for a yearI thought it was great, the people were nice, none of the ones I met worked in 'finance', actually they all seemed to be biologists. The only thing that got me is the number of young people all after the same jobs, so it's not an easy place to live.
Edit: one bunch of the people I met there were b3tans, who were all nice too.
