i wanted to make it look more authentici tried layers and blending them to get them to merge better but failed.

ok.. well it's pretty much the hardest thing to do in terms of animal shopsbut a good starting point is to have the two sections overlapping by quit a bit, then make a selection of the bit you want to blend with, copy it to a new layer then use a gradient mask to create the transition
from that point, you can use the clone tool and blended layer to gradually enhance the effect
