simply import them as a video clip into moviemaker, then save as avithen open in photoshop and save as gif

Ah -I assume MovieMaker is a Mac-Related product? I have a PC, and a rather nice PDA that only takes vids Quicktime.

Ah - therein lies another problem......my work machine is a scody old laptop running win 2k. I have a job that mostly requires the use of Word and Excel.
