I grew up on Maui, where the pogs came from. It was a pretty rural place even as late as the 60s and 70s so all we had to play with were those milk caps from Haleakala Dairy. Since the dairy also sold a fruit juice mixed from passion fruit, orange and guava juice and named "POG" we gave that name to the caps as well. It was pretty bleak but better than today: I'm glad I only have to go back to visit instead of trying to make a living on that rock.
