i was listening to a phish showand trey flubbed the lyrics to a song, and then he just started going, "a doo do doo, de doo doo do" along with what his lyrics should be.

and there's this story song in which the main character dies a really poetic death in the end ("and the puppet she'd forgotten / wrapped its tiny little arms around her ankle / and it wouldn't let her go. / and the waves seemed to open / and swallow her whole, / as the doll pulled her down / through the eerie green deep, / and she drifted away / to a tranquil and motionless sleep.")
but trey forgets the lyrics, and then stands looking confused for awhile, then just goes, "she died! she's dead!"
i thought it was funny.
[edit: actually, i fucked the lyrics up a little myself. the words are right, but the order's a little off, and i can't remember the exact right way. but you get the point.]
