# Couple of thoughts.
The 'news just in' takes up valuable ticker space, could it just be 'breaking news' flashing on the line above.

The newsreader should be rubbing his hands as it's been a slow night and now things are moving.

it's to reduce the filesize of that animated gif.
I think I'm going to redesign the News Just In bit so it looks better.

I'd wondered about that, but then I thought if you had a finite amount of text to show, it would probably be about the same to show more frames of less text or less frames of more text.
