Earlier Story

What do you think of this type/style of picture/post? Good or bad.

I'm working on a couple of flash files to make it easier to make new versions of these, so any opinions or ideas would be useful.

Flash sounds like a great idea for the scrolling headline. The anchorman could use some subtle expression change with the mini screen, like a supressed smile when something awful happens. Maybe a story about a cat and then someone runs on the set and stabs him in the head. See? Irony.

The 'news just in' takes up valuable ticker space, could it just be 'breaking news' flashing on the line above.

The newsreader should be rubbing his hands as it's been a slow night and now things are moving.

it's to reduce the filesize of that animated gif.
I think I'm going to redesign the News Just In bit so it looks better.

I'd wondered about that, but then I thought if you had a finite amount of text to show, it would probably be about the same to show more frames of less text or less frames of more text.

How many gifs make up the whole image, and how do you get them to tile without gaps, etc.?

i made the original as one big image, then broke it down ot make teh smaller ones, and used pretags to get them in the right places.
