what's wrong with simply having a non-exclusive licence, like any decent company would request?

it's quite simple. according to the description of this competition, if you submit work and it's used, it becomes the property of talkback. that's shite. they should simply have a non-exclusive licence to use it. still, if anyone wants to give away their rights for 2 seconds of fame, go for it. suckers.

it's not like my 'game' is going to be the next xbox hit. Still if they use it I'd like a copy of the show as we (aus) don't get it here.
