he simplyresponded to the growing feeling of hatred towards minority groups, particularly jews, at the time in Germany. There was a big depression and a large part of the german population blamed it on immigrants, jews etc.
You are not so naive to think that hitler woke up one day and decided to massacre jews are you?
The jews contributed quite a bit to the happenings before hitler came to power - I do believe hitlers final solution was clearly extreme and abhorrent, but basically the german public were pissed up to the back teeth with jews bleeding the country dry.
