my grandads unclewas shot at crew after the end ww1 when the one of the celabrating tommys dropped his gun and it shot him. My grandad was a known anarchist and didn't get called up, but did get nicked for not reporting for war, he went to trial and said 'but I want to go so I can spread my political beleifs among the soldiers' they sent hiom home again
