it big and clunky and makes a horrific whirring noise whilst scannin.

I did have an old one that was really big and clunky but I couldn't find the drivers anywhere so bought a new scanner. The bigger clunkier and brighter a scanner, the better it is in my book.
I am so ungeeky sometimes :)
