*realises the chances of anybody else recognising that song are very, very slim indeed*

they rocked!
and skanked, and thrashed, and got extremely high.
I did see the 1999 reunion gig, and still pray for another, given that none of them are actually dead yet.
Last I heard the singer had cleaned up and was thinking of moving back to Auckland...
just been looking on the local music sites and you can't seem to order their stuff over the 'net. Second-hand only.
bums.

Last concert I saw was Parliament Funkadelic
I was surrounded by over 40s on pills - made me feel like a teenager again.

you still look like a teenager,
a p-funk show sounds like a very good thing, and your profile caused me to find out that if i were a bodily fluid, i'd be urine.

I know I do.
25 and I still get stopped for ID.
And yes, it's up there as one of my all-time favourite concerts. I've never seen a group of people work so well together musically.

though at this point in my life I prefer to get a good groove on, rather than thrash about like a retard.

hmm
so, this site is offering the Lovers + single, and does have mp3 samples.
Including the b-side "Hateman", which was always their signature tune.
I'm surprised the two major albums aren't more available, considering how well promoted they were ten years ago.
Of course I still have my copies...

They sound like they would have been good live.
I might have to do some further research.

I have a live-to-air performance
I taped off the radio in '94...
not digitised unfortunately, but perhaps I should! Magnetic media doesn't last forever. My copy of Taxi Driver (their first release) is getting pretty worn by now...
