Hmmmmmm, difficult to know how best to compress something like this, with both hard lines and shade gradients. Might be one of the occasions when png clearly beats gif and jpg.

i only ever normally save as jpg or gif.. because i am an idiot and then i get angry at the noise and stuff.... as said, i am an idiot

# Well, there's very rarely any need to use anything else.
And if you do use a png there's always the chance of someone with an old broswer not being able to see it properly or some other compatibility problem, whereas gif and jpg always work.
