Caching is something that was top of th elist to do, at the mo I was was just using a JLabel with html, but I would have to use a JImage as some animations get corrupt.
I liked the replies bit, he changing colours looked nifty I thought! One of the main fetures was that you would get notified specifically to replies to your own messages.

yeah it was quite coolran it on a 512MB Pentium M 1.6 laptop, but I think I was using a newer version of the JVM than required in the readme (although I installed it about 2 months ago), so maybe some of the leaks were in the JVM
you`ve got to love Swing`s HTML rendering.. it`s a bit.. well.. interesting! I`ll maybe have a poke around with it again tonight, as it`s quite a funky way to view the board, although maybe activating a node should show all sub nodes in the HTML pane, so you don`t just get one message at a time

Your criticism is correct!The one message at a time thing was pissing me off as well. My plan was once I got to the point I'd rather use it than a web browser I'd know it was finished.
