that I used to use all the time about 20 years ago. Sadly now I've moved back I found they have put a huge steel gate on there replete with massive chain and lock. Miserable buggers.

I can't remember exactly where..

but somewhere on the M1 is a junction which used to be an emergency access point, which was then opened to all-comers, next to a growing town

When I had my pub

in Newport Pagnell it was always easier to come off at the services than either of the MK north or south junctions. A deft drive behind the cop shop and lift of a barrier and I was half a mile from the pub instead of 8-10. Sadly now they have electronic gadgetry and posts that rise from the floor. But then I don't live there anymore so fuggem.
