I too was drawing last week and made these without the help of any dodge/burn etcetera ( but I did make use of the render fibres filter as I had just discovered it and they only took 15-20 minutes to do )

Moon was just made with the sponge filter ten messing around with a glow blend. The 'clouds' are a semi transparent layer and meant to be mist on the sea! Guess I'll start again/
