When I first heard about this week's compo ...... I literally thought there was something called Web 2.0 coming out which would be written in a different programming language and would need a new browser, if not an entirely new broadband provider and probably a new PC.
Then I learned it was actually about making podcasts and perfecting your goth shot for MySpace. (High contrast, high angle, to disguise your bad skin and weight problem.)
Web 2.0? More like ... umm ... Web 1.5! Yeah!

it`s a pile of buzzwords brought together under one heading to make people think there`ll be a big-bag super duper new web - will probably be exploited by marketing departments to get people to buy the new version of Windows and a spangly new computerlike people who are saying "woo this XML is a great new thing" when some of us have been hacking away at it since the late 1990s
