That looks likesome kind of parasitic wasp, possibly a ichneuman (sp?) fly or a sawfly.

If you didn't check the filename I offer you a round of applause.That is indeed what it is, I've been told that they don't sting, but, I know people who have been stung by them so I'm still wary of them. More than anything it's the way they stare at me when I've trapped them in a glass for release outside..
