# I guess the companies don't bother (want) to check
Whether contractors are using legal software huh?

# They are actually meant to now
as the fine for illegal software use is being spread between the twat using it and the company paying him to.

# Hey don't look at me
I've never made money at 3D art and believe it or not I don't pirate 3D software. I use free tools only. (e.g. Aqsis, Wings3D)

:P

That and I write my own software. Working on a subdiv modeling/rendering package now.

# Yay!
My biggest gripe with piracy is simply the fact that these people are cnuts to their fellow man.

How would they like it if the project they passionately worked on for months if not years, that was the basis for their family's income was stolen and given away free to anyone and everyone?

I know of several plugin manufacturers that are literally 2 or 3 people who's only income comes from programming such things. Every pirate copy directly hits them very hard.
They're almost all really nice people too. :(

# Btw, I like your work
Nice stuff (esp. the 2D art)

Edit: yeah. I think I'm going to build into mine a way to connect to the master server and "phone home" so to speak. Then if it's not registered I'll upload goat pron onto their computers and e-mail all their family members they're becoming JWs.
