You've missed the semi colon off the end of line 10. It would actaully start a new line with that code not wrap text as shown.

That was the case on the Spectrum...
... but I think not on the BBC. I could be wrong though.

It works on the BBC as well
I know this because this is my favorite BBC 20 goto 10 program.
10 PRINT "*****___";
20 GOTO 10
It creates a nice pattern with the semi colon but wouldn't without it. Looks especially nice on those old CUB monitors you used to get in schools.

I've got one of those Cub monitors
Managed to get hold of one with sound and composite video inputs, then butchered the back and added a SCART connection (with analogue RGB) and a cooling fan. Ace!
On another note, I reckon it's time for a Hong Kong Phooey pearoast. routine, come on down!
