Regarding the behringer...I'm always wary of amps with too many features and gimmicks crammed in. The worst amp I ever owned was a Peavey with about 1001 effects/features on board - none of which sounded decent. My favourite amp is my little marshall guitar amp, with precisely 0 features (beyond an overdrive pre-amp and EQ's) that sounds sweet as a nut for both electric and electric-acoustic stuff.

Pre-fucking-cisely.Thing is I don't really want to sound sweet, more the echoic metallic rumble of the footfalls of Hades himself..... that sort of wank.
I need to sound nice and roundy and clean at the beginning of most tracks (bass takes care of that, bless her www.thomann.de/gb/spector_q4_pro_mbs.htm ), but then I need an amp with enough power to pack me forward when I'm overdriven instead of making me sound like someone jumping on a black bin sack.
*sigh* it's gonig to have to be something like the big hartke I've been looking at. It's a beast.
